The project is aimed at contributing towards fighting inequalities through enhanced pro-poor budgeting allocation and expenditure in the sectors of Health, Education and social Protection in Ntchisi and Dowa Districts. The project promotes transparency, accountability and citizen participation in budgeting and implementation of council budgets in the two districts. Among others the project encourages interface meetings between citizens and duty bearers.
