WHO WE ARE

The Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) was established in September 1997 with the overall objective of promoting and strengthening the culture of human rights in Malawi. The Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre is a local Non- Governmental, not for profit organization registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act and administered by a Board of Trustees. MHRRC works with state and non-state actors, civil society organizations to effectively support the democracy which was adopted in Malawi in 1993. It creates and support channels for free expression of rights for the citizens by working with and building the capacity of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in implementing interventions on human rights.
